We won't see a repeat of yesterday. About a 50 percent chance of a shower or storm in southern MI this evening.
Any severe weather should be very isolated.
Cells will move from NW to SE generally.
Very bad weather in parts of Chicagoland. 3 inch+ rainfall totals this afternoon have been fairly widespread. Numerous flash flood reports. The heaviest cells, which are south of the Loop and run into Lake County, IN, are nearly stationary. Some 7 or 8 inch rainfall totals there would not surprise me.

Good lord… a little water would be nice but they can keep that there. Very impressive if that were to happen.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat Jul 04, 2026 5:55 pm We won't see a repeat of yesterday. About a 50 percent chance of a shower or storm in southern MI this evening.

I hate losing power a couple of hours after the storm hit, where I lived was just wind I didn't hear any thunder or lighting or heavy rain just light rain didn't hear on the roof. And the power didn't come back on until 5PM today which was about 21 & half hours as it went out at 7:30PM on Fri.
Even know the dew was still up 69 or 70 degree dew point felt cool than in the mid 70s like Tue, Wed, & Thur.

The leading gust front had 70 mph winds. The rain and lightning only caused outage restoration delays.

There is a big blob of outages in Berkley and Huntington Woods still. I was watching the cell on radar that was responsible. It moved squarely over Berkley and Huntington Woods, and the edge barely grazed my neighborhood. I was extremely fortunate! I am so glad I missed out on the brunt of it.
Still got a couple gusts of 50+ mph here despite seeing very little rainfall from that cell.
