I'm very saddened by this news. Seems like a very decent man. He doesn't deserve this.

Sad news. Cancer is a bitch.

Does anybody check articles before posting? 91.1 FM?

I thought his absence might've been related to his wife's health. What sad news.

My brother just sent me an article on this. Terrible, terrible news. I hope Pat can find some kind of peace. Best wishes. Fuck cancer.

Heard this on air yesterday. Terrible news.

As someone who has lost a family member to pancreatic cancer, I unfortunately know how slim the chances are to beat this.

Pat definitely has some hot takes at times, but also has an encyclopedic knowledge of Detroit Sports. Best of luck and hope he finds peace. We've lost so many to cancer.

I can't say I was a fan of his but nobody should have to go through a thing like this.

My dad went through pancreatic cancer. It spread like wildfire. Watching it devour him and turn him into someone I couldn't recognize was terrifying. Pat has always come across as a good man who was passionate about sports and the City of Detroit. The world could use more people like him, who aren't afraid to wear their emotions on their sleeve and speak positively about the good parts of a place with obvious flaws, but that also holds many things to be proud of.
