Big Country
On a recent trip to northern Michigan we were impressed by the music selection and presentation on Big Country 102.9 from Indian River. The signal covers a broad area. The best sounding country station we’ve heard in a long while. The only downer on this trip was when trying to listen to AM and the scan function just kept repeating finding few stations there.

Re: Big Country
Yup, the AM conductivity in northern lower Michigan is terrible.
1270 WMKT is barely audible in TC despite broadcasting with 27,000 watts and having some of the signal travel through water (a good conductor).
580 is the only signal that gets out well.
I will have to give 102.9 a listen online sometime.

Big Country Gold out of Cheboygan (AM w/FM translators in St. Ignace and Indian River) sounds quite good IMO.

Re: Big Country
1240 WCBY used to travel fairly well at 1,000 watts
