It’s no secret IHeart’s smaller stations have traffic reports done from another market. The Toledo cluster is done out of Detroit, for example. Cleveland, Columbus, and Cincinnati were untouched, at least they were. Friday afternoon I was listening to WLW and caught Rick Shremp doing early afternoon reports. He’s based out of Detroit. Afternoon drive was still local
When did the cuts extend to their hubs? How long before the entire state is done out of Cleveland (or Detroit)?

Re: WLW farming out traffic reports
I was picking up WLW on seek along I-96 in eastern Ionia County shortly before Noon today. I was amazed. Wasn't a faint signal by any means, either. No crackling or fading while driving beneath high voltage wires even.
Was actually coming in more strongly than 720 WGN in that spot.

Re: WLW farming out traffic reports
Chuck Ingraham is the only remaining local Cincinnati traffic reporter on 700 WLW, during AM drive. Back benchers in Detroit handle the rest of the day.

WTAM CLE does news reports for other markets, including Los Angeles. You'd think it would be the other way around. But, IHR pretty much dismantled KFI.
