Isn't that a given?

Isn't it officially an address to a joint session of Congress for the first year of a term? I know Trump was previously a failed president, felon, and traitor, but since he was installed for a new term despite all that, I don't think this is a SOTU speech.

I think you’re right, at any rate the letter calls it a “joint session of Congress” so that’s what it’ll be.

As to it being a given… I know there are requirements but I can’t remember how hard and fast they are.

I just paid $4.99 for a dozen Meijer eggs. They seem to have risen in price a little.

Weird.

I'm positive he's gonna get to food and fuel. Right after Ike Turner gets confirmed as head of the department of not beating your wife.

We've been in Florida since Jan 6. I put off buying eggs until after the Inauguration. Looks like I may as well quit waiting and just go ahead and get them at $5/doz.

Strange thing… I just read the price is going to continue to climb for the rest of the year. When’s he gonna get around to threatening the chickens with annihilation so they’ll getta layin’ already?

Ya know, I try to be fair. Even after everything. I've had my ass ridden on the freeway in Howell by a lifted pickup truck. I've been cut off by a soy sipping Volvo in Ann Arbor. Guy down the street that has 7 Trump flags, a lawn sign, and a projection of hearts under one of those flags let me borrow his lawnmower, no questions asked. My nextdoor neighbor, who voted for Harris and Biden, blows the leaves from his front lawn to mine. So yes, there's good and bad.

But I just can't get over this shit. I still can't figure out what the fuck is wrong with people. How bitter and angry do you have to be to be fully behind this shit? I know there's a lot of assholes with their heads in the sky in LA, but actively laughing and cheering their losses? Maybe sending help, maybe not, maybe if you do this, maybe after I call you names, maybe I'll dismantle the agency that helps.

We were told that the president sets prices. People were broke apparently. And it's getting worse. I don't even know how to describe this shit anymore.

You call me out for whataboutism when it suits your position, but in an example like this where Matt's continued criticism of Vance is based on a falsehood, all I hear is BUT WHAT ABOUT TRUMP!!!????

Trump is pressing Jordan and Egypt to take in Palestinians from Gaza and has floated a plan to “clean out” the territory. I wonder how those folks with Palestinian roots who voted his way are feeling about now?

An ironic question considering that literally 90 percent of the posts in here are people complaining about Trump. That's all this forum is any more.

Pointing out how screwed up he and his movement are is different from the complaining his movement including you does.

Bird flu is the reason egg prices are so high. It has begun to affect flocks in Michigan. It will likely be many months before egg prices return to normal. Or, this might be the new normal, similar to beef prices.

Kroger seems to be having major supply chain issues with its egg supplier(s) for its SE Michigan stores. Meijer is doing a better job.

There's also the new cage-free egg law that went into effect last month (a law which I agree with but is undoubtedly driving egg prices up).

If Trump didn't have a favorable SCOTUS, both Chambers of Congress, and his own cable news channel, I'd be more gentle.
