8 years for killing three people? May be out in year for time served? >:

Terrible work by the Saginaw County Prosecutor's Office. This guy has a rap sheet of past violent crimes, as noted in the article you posted:
Before the 2022 shooting, Mireles spent two years behind bars and five years on probation after reportedly pistol-whipping his ex-wife and shooting his brother in November 2010. His probation reportedly ended in August 2016.
Sure seems like he got a slap on the wrist for his November 2010 offenses and now the same is happening again.

I completely agree that this is a travesty of justice.

I'd vote the Saginaw proescutor out whenever their up again in election sounds like a Soros backed candidate. This person should spend the rest of their life in jail.

It sounds to me like there may have been more going on here and that the prosecutor was not confident about the case. I won't mince words, this sounds like a white trash gathering where many people were on many substances. The one thing that leads me to give the prosecutor less grief is the following from the article in OP:
Witness testimony reported differed as to whether Mireles or the people at the party shot first.
Who the hell knows? Maybe they drew on him and he drew back. If he was defending himself in a situation where it seems like he was not interested in avoiding trouble, then 8 years seems on the low end of reasonable. Regardless, he will be a troublemaker when he emerges from his cell in 8 years.

Mireles is not a "white" last name.

I think the scumbag was the instigator, and certain family members who don't want to see him go to prison for a lengthy term lied on his behalf.

The shooter came to the party, uninvited, with a gun, and stormed it because he was texted about someone talking "S#!T" about a sexual assault. The shooting was premeditated.

He killed three people, one a pregnant woman.

I highly doubt the pregnant woman was firing upon him.

Another was injured in the hand.

If only one person was killed and it was the one that fired upon him first, then a reduced sentence could possibility be justified.

A Soros backed candidate? Humor me, what is that?
