Looks like Judge Judy will have competition in the syndication market next fall from... Judge Judy.
Scott Koondel's Sox Entertainment is reported to be offering "Judy Justice" (airing in first run on Freevee) for syndication in fall 2024.
Meanwhile, Tribunal Justice (the Freevee equivalent to Hot Bench, with two of that show's former judges) has been renewed for season 2.

It'll be interesting to see if either the original Judge Judy or Judy Justice does better in the ratings.

I wonder if WB's now canceled Judge Mathis and the People's Court do better in ratings than Byron Allen's counterparts.

WMYD 20 will air Judy Justice in Detroit starting 09/09, with two back-to-back episodes at 5:00. So it won't be head-to-head with the Judge Judy reruns on Fox 2, though that would be interesting.
Incidentally, Tribunal Justice will also enter syndication in 2026.

It looks like WTVG HD2 aka CW13 will carry Judy Justice.at 2 and 2:30, also not head to head with WNWO, who's carried the original Judge Judy for years.

Judy Justice will be on WXSP at 5PM to 6PM kinda in a 2-hour block as WZZM airs Judge Judy forever at 4PM to 5PM.

I miss the days of watching Judge Judy and seeing those shady online colleges being advertised by Chuck Nice. Eating chee-tos and finishing up a bowl before going to work while hearing Judge Judy body some guy verbally never gets old.
