Just saw some clips of Mike Davis who is in the running for Trumps AG saying they will try to arrest Biden and his family and also deport anyone who is an anchor baby. That would be telling us they want to deport US citizens. This thing is gonna crash and burn so fast it’s not funny.

Also anecdotal evidence companies are already working on pricing the tariffs into their 2025 business plans. One company in Pennsylvania is foregoing Christmas bonuses to instead stockpile materials now before prices skyrocket. A whole bunch of his voters are gonna find out exactly how tariffs work and get to feel the effects long before any prices on foreign goods go up at the store.

I'm up about $1600 since Trump won.

Let’s at least agree on this point… the stock market is a really big casino. You’re betting something will or won’t happen. It doesn’t mean any single bet is smart and that everybody wisely did 6 months of research into all the mitigating factors involved. It is NOT a proxy for the health of the economy or what’s happening to people economically.

It’s been hitting record highs for a couple years now and is well above the peak of the first Trump Administration. The problem with that is you don’t know who is investing. It could easily be folks who support Trump buying up stocks. They could be uninformed about what tariffs will ultimately do to the economy. They could be riding a wave of relief and waiting to get out in a slightly higher position. There are a lot of possibilities that aren’t “he’s gonna make the economy have 100% of worldwide GDP so bow down to America!”

Personally I will be waiting until it crashes to jump in. And trust me it will crash before the end of his term. Obama only said “fundamental transformation” but these guys want to go back to a pre New Deal form of the US Government. Do you have any idea how big of a shock that is gonna be to the citizens of the country and every facet of American life including the economy and on an accelerated timeline before they get blown out in 2026? I mean… nobody here knows how to function within that system. Not even the whackjobs trying to establish it.

If you think everything is gonna be hunky dory when mass deportations begin you’re a moron. If you think prices won’t go through the roof and GDP will be severely hurt by a combination of that and blanket tariffs with retaliation by the other countries you’re an idiot. There is a really good reason why nobody has tried this and it has nothing to do with conspiracies to get more Democratic voters or eliminate white people. It’s because it’s fucking economically ignorant. We haven’t tried tariffs like this in almost 100 years… it’s because the last time large scale tariffs were tried was an abject failure that worsened the Great Depression not because 100 years worth of leaders from both parties were stupid.

You’re not dropping the price of gas. We can’t refine American oil into gasoline. We already produce a record amount of domestic oil and are energy independent.

The price of gasoline was never above $3 under trump, and (except for the first 4 months) was never below $3 under Harris/Biden

The president doesn't dictate gas prices. The market does. There are different reasons for each scenario. OPEC cut production during the Biden Administration and we had inflation going on as an aftershock from supply chain issues during the pandemic. He's not gonna magically walk in there and get gas prices below $3 although right now they are flirting with it. Drilling even more American oil than we are now won't do it. Our refineries are not set up for refining American oil into gasoline and would require billions to retool.

Trumps likely AG nominee Mike Davis has stated that Mark Cuban needs to be scrubbing toilets in a gulag and Letitia James will be gone after and prosecuted for crimes against rights and she deserves to be in a gulag. That same guy previously threatened the entire Biden family “except his 5 year old granddaughter” with arrest and prosecution.

He also has stated that deportations will include anchor babies. Those are also known as US citizens by virtue of being born in the United States.

Trump called for investigations today into people who started rumors he will sell some of his Truth Social stock. This thing is already careening off the rails.
