So am I. Server load appears to be the issue. I am going to inquire with my host to see if they can move the Buzzboard to a different virtual private server or to a dedicated server. A massive spike in VPS load beginning happening on August 30.

Another account is bogging down your pipe. I don't know much about InMotion as a host, but this is a great way to test their service. They can't seem to diagnose very well.

Get a backup... You are likely going to step up a significant number of versions. I have known software to require a tiered upgrade to allow for tables to be added or reindexed.

Can you do an upgrade to a new folder, then direct to it once it's tested?

That almost seems like a script issue. The server should be capable of 10 times that.
