I just saw the first 4 words of this thread's subject and thought someone had removed the h-u-g-e filter and got into trouble for it.

The last time I had to deal with this, my dev guy found hidden PHP pages that were spam redirects. Then all the traffic from spam email overwhelms the security filter.
I might suggest your hosting company search for pages on your account with extraordinary traffic. I assure you it's not any of the typical pages (exception Ron Cameron).
