Yesterday, I counted 3 Trump signs and 0 Kamala signs in my neighborhood. Then again, my county voted over 65% Trump both times.

Which is fascinating because before Trump, Iosco County was much more equally split in past Presidential elections.

What was 2020 like? That might be a better barometer in a place like that if you compare the two….

I had to look up that county to find where it was. LOL. Pretty sure Rogers City/Alpena are the only two areas of northeastern lower Michigan I haven't visited.

I have no recollection of what the sign situation around here was then because honestly I didn't pay any attention. I only counted yesterday because it was a topic of conversation here recently.

I can tell you that in my line of work, I do a lot of house calls, and if a TV is on in the background and has news on, it is Fox News 2 out of 3 times. I think maybe once a customer had on MSNBC and a few times I've seen CNN on.

Rogers City Alpena are as far north of here as Saginaw/Bay City are south of here. This is a rapidly growing tourist area, and I hate it because all the city people come up here and take over for 6 months out of the year like they own the place.

If they have a cottage up there they DO own the place.

As far as I'm concerned, if this is not your primary residence, then you do not own the place. Just my opinion.

I have nothing against tourists, but please leave your city ways in the city.

My bad, my phone glitched and showed Rogers City. I have been there after all, to a cottage in Oscoda. That was at least 30 years ago.

Ironically, my friend just went up there today. But all she brought was fishing poles, suitcases, and two coolers for her kids. Hope that isn't too "city" for ya.

That’s not easy to do… it would be like asking you to behave in a more cosmopolitan manner.
