News Music
Anyone know what the music packages 7&4 / 9&10 / 29&8 used before 1990 were (I know 29&8 ended newscasts in 1984)?

IIRC, 9&10 used either FirstCom or TM Music at that time. There was also a brief period where the news package was a localized version of the CBS national package.

This is a good site for going down the news music rabbit hole for pretty much any local station. Just hit “broadcast” under the station tab. http://www.newsmusicsearcharchive.com/
It has both the music package the station used, as well as recordings of the opens if available.

That track labeled "KLTV 1985 News Theme" certainly rings a bell.

That's why I was asking about pre-90s. I've contributed a few intros to the site. There isn't anything for 7&4 or 29&8 before '90.ineedsleep wrote: ↑Fri Aug 09, 2024 12:26 am This is a good site for going down the news music rabbit hole for pretty much any local station. And that said, what is the actual name for the package used in 1990?
