The story WXYZ’s Simon Shaykhet did with the family affected by the Rochester Hills splash pad shooting was touching. It’s one of the more real, actual journalism stories I have seen on 7 in quite a while. I think Simon Shaykhet was an excellent choice for the 5pm anchor. He has been a solid reporter for 7 for a long time.
