I don't believe it, they didn't score a single run for Skubal! :o

Comparing AAA pitching to the Majors is fools' gold. The gap has never been wider for the velocity and movement from pitchers. H U G E talent gap. Part of it is because any pitcher worth anything is getting escalated to the majors due to all of the pitching injuries which are too numerous to mention.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

The Astros are not the same team without Dusty Baker.

Good to see Flaherty get the runs usually reserved for Skubal. :razz

Of the three big managerial departures this offseason, Baker, Counsell and Francona, Baker's is the only one to really hurt the team that the longtime manager left.

Dingler is 25 years old, going on 26. It's time to see if he can hit major league pitching, otherwise he's not a prospect, just organizational depth.

Lynn Henning was speculating about a trade in today's News:
Is there a way other than one of the Detroit guys getting banged up in which Dingler might soon be at Comerica Park?

You bet. A trade could be brewing at some point ahead of MLB’s end-of-July deadline, Rogers or Kelly could also find himself dealt as teams such as the Phillies look for help, in Philly’s case after J.T. Realmuto last week had knee surgery.

The Tigers lost tonight 2-1 in Atlanta.

Michigan native Spencer Schwellenbach got his first MLB victory for the Braves.

11.5 games out in the division, 6.5 games out in the wild card. While the latter might not sound THAT bad, if you think this team is finishing ahead of Boston, Toronto, TB, Houston and Texas, which they would have to do just to be the first runner-up in the wild card race right now, I have some oceanfront property in Kansas to sell you.

Wait till next year, again.

I wish they would get of the three wild card setup, but they never will, because of the money.

The one wild card setup was much better, because it ensured that the second best team in the league was in the playoffs, and everybody started at the same time.

With that setup, right now we would have a great playoff lineup, with New York, Baltimore, Cleveland, and Seattle in the American League, and Philadelphia, Atlanta, Milwaukee, and Los Angeles in the National League.
