MeTV Toons

Unread post by MrJeffrey2020 »

Would WJRT be the most likely station to pick this up in the Flint area considering it already has MeTV?

MeTV Toons will launch June 25, 2024 across the country.

Given that after months they finally got The Grio on 12.3--and it's hugely underwhelming . . .
My guess from the quality of the programming--scripted shows with good actors--12.2 MeTv gets good ratings. But who knows what goes on in those twisted minds?
Here's a long preview and discussion; the stations in the link don't include 12, but we can hope.

Wood TV took The Giro off of DT3 for Defy TV which WXMI Fox17 also airs on DT4 and I know Scripps doesn't want their rival in the same market to air their networks. Ever since Laff left has left they have change diginets a few times first was Sports Grid a sports betting channel for 13 months and then The Grio until last Wed. I know Dare TV is coming on July 1 which will air the same shows as Defy does two different networks no rebrand.

I'm going to look for it on Frndly TV, which carries MeTV+, which isn't carried anywhere in Michigan (https://www.rabbitears.info/search.php? ... Me-TV+Plus).

WJRT will probably carry it, three months later than everyone else.

As This TV is disappearing from many markets (including, apparently, WJRT), maybe MeTV Toons will be part of the lineup sooner than later. Of course, any station could pick up the channel, though MeTV's affiliates have the right to first refusal.

This TV, which used to carry a respectable schedule of old shows, is now in such disarray that they can't even provide a schedule. That or they're ashamed of it.

TitanTV shows it as "OFF AIR". Maybe they pulled the plug on it? No great loss...

When it was co-owned by MGM and Weigel, Thjs TV used to offer a respectable stable of classic films and television. But after Allen bought it, it became a depository of his past programs. It continued to show MGM films until its licensing agreement ended at the end of 2023.
