Format changes

Unread post by ADD in TC »

WLJW 95.9 is now airing WLJN's talk format "The Source".

WSRT is now part of the Promise FM network.

Both stations are now included on the top of the hour I'ds of their new homes.

The Fuel Fm website has been deactivated.

Funny,no mention on social media or on air about these changes.

Just a thought, with 95.9 being in the coverage area of both AM 1400 and AM 1370,What is the likelihood that Northern Broadcasting will shut down these stations and their respected translators?

Promise took control of these stations months ago. Hopefully the new Jesus is as self righteous as the old Jesus.

95.9 covers much more coverage area than 1400/1370. Heck, 95.9 may have the best coverage of northern Michigan outside of the 100kW stations!

Even though the two high-band AM stations are basically useless, those translators could be quite useful. I'm surprised how decently NewsTalk 580 has done in the most recent diaries for TC/Petoskey despite being an AM with no FM presence.

Speaking of the Promise FM, WPHN has returned to the air from a temporary site (possibly at their Gaylord studio).

They have posted a blog on the changes (WLJN 89.9/107.9 is now worship music): https://www.promisefm.com/promiseblog/b ... -new-thing

Is Promise FM worse than Smile FM? Is that even possible?
