Some registered account users are experiencing password recognition issues. The issue appears to have been triggered by a PHP update on October 30. If this is occurring, please try logging in and using the "forgot password?" utility. Bear in mind auto-generated password reset emails may appear in your spam folder. If this does not work, please click the "Contact Us" option near the lower right hand corner of the index page to contact me via email. I have responded to all password reset requests received through 6a ET on November 7. You should see an email from the "Admin" email account.

November 9 update: Due to app errors, I have disabled the Tapatalk plug-in. As such, the Buzzboard is currently unavailable in Tapatalk. I am trying to do a clean reinstall, but each reinstall attempt is generating database errors. I am hopeful that the issue will be able to be resolved in the next few days.

Thank you for your patience!

The Tigers' relief ace, who won both the AL MVP and AL Cy Young awards for his stellar 1984 season, died of a cardiac arrest.

Hernandez had apparently been suffering from cardiac issues for many years.

While I loved his work during the '84 season, the best thing he ever did was dump water over the head of that dipshit Mitch Albom.

In later years, I think he was called Guillermo, not Willie. Regardless of the name, a great closer for the Tigers.

In the news reports, they kept showing the last out of the 1984 World Series over and over. Larry Herndon flagging down Tony Gwynn's fly ball, Darrell Evans leading the charge out of the dugout...

For the Tiger fans who came of age during the Verlander/Cabrera era, it has to hurt that they never got a moment like that.
All along the icy wastes, there are faces smiling in the gloom.
