Party 103.3 kind of slipped my mind l

In regard to WQQO, I've noticed Cumulus making some odd decisions over the years, in other radio markets but this one I do not get. This has been mentioned and I have no clue myself, but... I do wonder if there is talk behind the scenes of selling 105.5 or for that matter, 98.3.

If they were willing to part with 93.1 in Detroit, who's to say they wouldn't sell either 98.3 or 105.5 to a Godcaster. As Cumulus continues to become leaner as a company.

Corporate America usually does the opposite of what is commonsense, in my experience of working for a big corporation. Cumulus seems no different.

I would see them sell 98.3 over 105.5. There is more money to be made with QQO. It’s just a mess.

I do not understand their resistance to fire Ron Burgundy. He did the news in morning drive, it didn’t work. They kept him and he does the news in afternoons. It doesn’t work. Why this is allowed to keep going, we will never know.

Ron Burgundy is the worst air talent on the air, anywhere in the world. Radio is a business, and he’s clearly not cutting it. His show sucks. He must have something on the GM and ops manager. Anywhere else he would have been fired over a year or two ago.

Interesting thought, I could see them selling 98.3 since it's still sort of a rim shot signal. It would not be a great decision to sell 105.5, that signal is too solid in and around Toledo and the 'burbs. Back in the day they gave 101.5 a run for their money with W25-54.

Cumulus should sell the entire cluster to a company like Midwest, or federated. But since they won’t, maybe box Q105 up and put it on the Westwood One network. While it wouldn’t be “local” it won’t be what it is now.

Federated owns a couple stations in Ft Wayne but cannot recall where else. They did own I believe, 940am, 93.1, 92.1, 104.9 and 107.1?? In Lima but that's owned by Woof Boom now. Yes, I'd like to see the rain cloud leave T-town.

The problem with selling the stations is that the new company is unlikely to clean house 100% and the mediocre that is in the building, will most likely remain in the building and there will be no change.

All I've heard is that Lew Jr is having trouble with all of the increasing crime and unrest around his mansion in the once trendy Buckhead section of Atlanta. John is with some tech company somewhere. I don't remember the details. Hell, I remember when they had their Stratford Research company in the old garage (Media Center Building II on the plaque) at the WOHO/3WM studio in Oregon. My friend John Lodge, from Denver, worked for them. Drove a new Lexus. I truly believe he was the brains of the operation.

I remember him from WSPD back in 2004, endless rants about how great Bush 43 was as president and how evil John Kerry was like Satan along with other Democrats . Guy was obnoxious.
