Detroit Lions 2023
Re: Detroit Lions 2023
Slay was extended in 2017 he wanted out and didn't like Patricia and I also think that the Lions thought Slay was on the downside. I liked Swift but they always seemed to be injured was good when healthy.

How often have you heard it, folks -- the best ability is availability. Swift was one of those guys who couldn't play with pain.

Wow, Lions are Thursday night NFL opener against the Chiefs. That’s cool. Surprising though, especially since Chiefs have 2023 home games against Bengals and Bills as options for opener.
Re: Detroit Lions 2023
Yeah, that surprised me as well playing the opening game VS the Chiefs as I thought it be VS the Phfins and former Chief TY Hill seeing the banner going up at Arrowhead.

Re: Detroit Lions 2023
THREE Thursday night games.
That seems like a fairly disruptive schedule. If I recall last year, other than a game that was flexed late in the season, 15 of their 17 games were Sunday at 1pm.

Boy, with an almost entirely revamped secondary who've yet to play together for a single regular season game, Mahomes may pick us apart in that opener. I'm not scared, but a bit apprehensive.

Lions are reportingly signing Teddy Bridgewater.
Jeff Okudah is dealing with another injury with Atlanta.
It's basically a month until the season opener in Kansas City.

Re: Detroit Lions 2023
I went to the Giants game last night. Left at half time.
It was my first time inside Ford Field. I was impressed with the place.
My most curious observation was security inside and immediately outside the stadium was all MSP that I saw. I did not see a single Detroit cop or Wayne County deputy. As a dad of a cop I pay attention to these things. There could maybe have been some I didn't see but what jumped out at me was nothing but MSP. Seemed odd.

Just curious, why'd you leave at halftime? Was it the weather forecast?craig11152 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 1:40 pmI went to the Giants game last night. Left at half time.

Mostly because it was a preseason game and I am not such a fan that I pay attention to guys trying to make the team.moldyoldie wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 1:47 pmJust curious, why'd you leave at halftime? I'm pretty sure the 2 QB's were fighting for the 3rd slot vs getting cut. Heck they both might get cut.
Plus driving home to Ann Arbor I didn't want to get home at midnight.

I still don't give the Lions much of a chance to win tonight.
DTE Energy paid $752 million in dividends to its shareholders last fiscal year. Remember that the next time they ask the MPSC to approve rate hikes.

But an upset here would be earth shaking. Besides it’s a lot more fun to root for the underdog.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 7:52 pmI still don't give the Lions much of a chance to win tonight.
If Mahomes breaks his leg I wouldn’t be offended.
