think anyone else will try country after this station goes Jesus?
WYCD will be pulling monster ratings after this is a done deal
I expect them to be in the Top 3 if not #1 for a while

Seems like the last time 106.7 tried country with the Fox, it failed big time. I don't know if it could be successful this go-around.

I just don't understand how it fails. Who doesn't want voice tracked, bland personalities, lack of local presence, minimal listener interaction, tight playlists, national playlists...what's not to love?

What's the source about the country format going to an HD signal?

MW you were 100% correct. They are now identifying as "New Country Detroit" Http://www.newcountrydetroit.com. 93.1 in the logo has been replaced with Detroit.
Also on air they are mentioning 96.3 HD3. Looks like the end is very near for WDRQ.

So by September 93-1 will be Family Life Radio and there will no longer be a CW 50. Is anything else expected to change in the near future?

Looks like the call letters will be WUFL according to their website. http://www.myflr.org

Listening to FLR online and they said to tune in tomorrow as we welcome a "large Community" to our family. Perhaps the change over will come sooner than later.

Wonder if they'll dump the flavorless WDVD call sign on 96.3 and keep the much more historical WDRQ sign on the dial.

Oh, and get off my lawn.
