I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that management doesnt really expect her to be the epitome of a 1st class news reader.

If the station wants a female persona, who knows sports and has prior radio experience, why not reach out to Jennifer Hammond from Fox 2 and bring Hammer in. I think she'd be a great addition on the morning show who can read the use and contribute her perspective on sports news and stories. Plus, she has the radio insight having been on WDFN.

97.1 is generally brutal. Does anyone care about Costas opinion on last nights draft?

She's just there to provide the hot chick aspect to a male dominated viewership. When she was gone for the kid it was not even noticeable she was gone. I think her delivery is poor as well. Many times she does not come across very sympathetic on some of the horrible news stories she chooses to read, instead she comes across like a gawker trying to see a gory accident

I distinctly remember the day I quit listening to mornings on 97.1. I had to drive from Flat Rock to Southfield. Decided to take Telegraph. Normally I'm a button pusher as soon as an ad comes on. But just left it on the ticket. From Ecorse Road in Taylor, until I was getting out of the car at 10 Mile and Beech, not one word about anything sports.

She's only there so the station can say it has a female on the air staff.
Totally agree with this. If I have the radio on, I turn it off when she comes on.

I've lived out of market for about 14 years and would stream 97.1 until Rome came on, then back to 97.1 for Valenti. I can't tell you the last time I streamed the station in the past year or so. Or any sports talk honestly.

I can't listen to Costa. He's not interesting, and I feel like he's lecturing me all of the time. Unlistenable. As far as Heather goes, they can deep six her tomorrow for all I care. She comes off as a total idiot who's only function is to report on internet news stories that nobody cares about. A complete bimbo.

This part. It's still a preset but I just haven't listened. Nothing against anyone but I'm just not feeling like it.

Costa is a Mikey wannabe, IMO.

Heather and the stupid music bed while she talks can go….I wish they’d bring back Sara Fouracre.

She's worse than Lisa Way from Dave and chuck.

Yep, a sports station where you can get all the breaking news on The Bachelorette and Dancing With The Stars. Often those are the TOP stories. She's awful.
