Ron Cameron Sportstalk still not listed on the WPON website schedule for Saturday or Sunday. Probably still waiting for Ron's check to clear.

Will Ron make a grand entrance or will he be fumbling around with the mic at the open? Which advertisers are sticking with him after his big gaffe? Will Ron inform the audience that he has started penning his much anticipated autobiography with Ted Kulfan while he had unexpected time off? How upset is Ron that the Tigers have been winning over the last couple weeks and currently sit in 2nd place in the division? Will there be a public apology for his unadvisable words that were uttered on the airwaves a couple weeks back? Or will Ron start out with a diatribe against WDTK and Luke (last time Luke was a backstabber)? Are we starting with an over/under on callers at 7 for the 2 hr period? I am calling over, being optimistic. Less than 24 hrs before we find the answers to these questions and much, much more.

For those keeping track
Eric Haase batting average- .293
Jake Rogers batting average- .179
There's a lot to talk about.
I'll take the under for callers, as long as Cowboy and Kurt only count one time each, despite calling in both hours.
Yes, I'm probably high on that call. I was thinking 4-5 the first hour and 3 the 2nd. Forgetting that Cowboy is now out of the picture and the fact that the signal is about equal to me yelling off my front balcony to the neighbors below. I'll stick with it at this point. Who knows maybe Kurt has not got the word yet.

Does Ron have to pay royalties for use of the song, or is his show so far off the beaten path that the powers that be are obvious to his using it?

A question for Ron historians: As "We Are The Champions" was issued in 1977, has Mr. Cameron used the recording as his theme song upon release?

There won’t be a music open, there wasn’t last time.
Are we counting Kurt twice or just once?

Callers will be Mr. Positive to lead things off. Kurt will call both hours, unless it’s a basketball guest (Ray Scott?) second hour, Chuck is a loyal WDTK guy- I’ve heard him on Darryl Wood and Luke’s shows, it’s hard to say if he will call. I don’t recall hearing him on WPON before.
I see Keith in Oak Park and one of the Warren boys, but not both. I wouldn’t rule out Alex with a surprise call in. Cowboy is out, and likely Windsor Dave too. Who realistically is left? Clint from the bar?

Maybe Meredith finally decides to give her voice to the emails.

He didn’t on WDFN. They had generic music with their voiceover guy, with a whistle and I believe a hockey horn.

Yeah, “We Are the Champions” is benched on WPON. If Martin’s still around, we might get, “Hey, kids …” as an intro.

As for callers, I expect it to be very light. Will the shrewd Kurt be in the know? As for Warren Mark, I don’t know if he has internet access, but, even if he does, he’ll likely be at the Tigers game.

Add umpire Don Denkinger to the long list of recent sports deaths. I have to imagine Ron was very close to him & is busy preparing the eulogy he’ll be delivering.

The reboot of reboots is almost here The Ron Cameron show 2.0, 3.0, 4,0 can’t keep track. I am sure Ron has loaded the show out the gate.

Question though, many have said cowboy won’t be calling in, if I was understanding the posts right. I ge the Canada thing, but when Ron had been on WPON in the past,, cowboy doesn’t/can’t call in?

Due to many of us having to stream the show, the WPON website must be at full capacity, hopefully they have upped the bandwidth to handle the traffic

I wonder with that powerhouse station if the schedule gets updated maybe every few years.

Though from past listening, don’t sleep on Dwayne rocking oldies that is a lead in show I think for Ron today, I think…

I did a quick swim thru the last 10 pages or so of this thread. So if I missed it, I apologize.
Other than Mr. Positive, is there any "official" word that Cameron is actually going to be on the air this weekend?

I always enjoyed the rocking oldies that would play before Scoop signed on WPON in the past!

I think it started with Alex (early, mid-2010's?). When he was on the show, the closing version of the song would end with a voice over from Alex.

Ron's probably the only person alive who doesn't think that Denkinger blew that call in the sixth game of the 1985 World Series.
