Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron used the N-word twice with extreme nonchalance in some empty story that I can’t even remember the context, and then continued to push at a racism angle in his interaction with Jake Wood. It was surprising, if not shockingly tone-deaf, even coming from someone as boorish and clueless as Ron Cameron.

Re: Ron Cameron
Oh Good Lord..........I hope Jake blocks his number after today. Now, will Cowboy have a comment?
Re: Ron Cameron
I predict that Luke will put up the podcast of the show.Luke is jealous of Ron and views him as a threat. He wants Ron off the station.
Re: Ron Cameron
I was half-listening. It was some story that involved Earl Lloyd. With one person saying something about someone (Lloyd?) being a good player for an “N” word, with a Black person (Lloyd?) in the story agreeing that the athlete was a good player for an “N” word. As noted, Ron took great relish in telling this story.
Re: Ron Cameron
I, as well as the handful of other regular listeners that post here, was also only half-listening, but man, it was strange to hear the easy way this story flowed right outta Ron.Momo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 10:02 pm I was half-listening. Re: Ron Cameron
There is no excuse for using the n word.Ron needs to be removed from the station. He does not deserve to be on the air.I believe Luke will post the podcast and Ron will be gone.If Luke covers for Ron and tries to cover it up he should be gone as well.
Re: Ron Cameron
Anyone who is offended could try contacting the station manager. I would think Ron’s agreement would have clauses for termination, more than just non payment. FCC violations would be one, but I don’t think that word is banned by them.
If he is kicked off though, we would have a gap in our weekends until he comes crawling back to WPON.

Re: Ron Cameron
Thinking about doing just that
Re: Ron Cameron
I wonder what the sponsors who buy ads for Ron's show think about Ron's racists comments. That is why it is important for Luke to put up,the podcast.Let the sponsors judge for themselves.
Re: Ron Cameron
I think media outlets in the greater Detroit area should be made aware of this. The NAACP should also be informed of what is going on the air at WDTK.edj wrote: ↑Mon May 01, 2023 6:14 am Anyone who is offended could try contacting the station manager. Re: Ron Cameron
Can you imagine Ron stumbling and bumbling through an on-air apology? I mean, I assume he has “the guts” to “tell it like it is”, right?!?!
Re: Ron Cameron
Maybe Meredith from Southfield can send Ron an e-mail and let him know what’s going on…

Re: Ron Cameron
Not sure, but instead of the player being "good," the repeated lines may have been about how "fast" he was.Momo wrote: ↑Sun Apr 30, 2023 10:02 pm I was half-listening.
