you know who'd be a good replacement for Price?
Ron Cameron.
I know I'll get flamed for this.
What y'all think about Jason Carr doing play by play or color during Tiger games? Radio or TV?

First time hearing Price this season. Just as useless as ever. He seems to be eating on the air even more.

Those are lozenges. He had throat or mouth cancer I believe. Probably doesn't make enough saliva after.

Alright kids, I wonder if you’ve noticed the drop ins (or lack thereof) of those legendary “Price-isms.” Me thinks Scott Harris had his say about it, as I haven’t heard any art of anything, yellow is a color and amish buggies can be found in Michiana… since mid-March. (The opening week, though, Jimbo was catching up from his winters nap, and that could have been why it’s gone now). At least we can hope.

The mistreatment of Jim Price by this board is appalling but expected. It's why quality posters stay away from this board.
They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

He’s terrible and has been for years. The criticism is well deserved. Scales isn’t good either, but he’s an improvement.

Jim Price is awful and is so bad he detracts from the game, which is NOT what a PBP or commentator should ever do. That and him constant eating hot dogs on the air is the most unprofessional act in broadcasting.

I just found a survey by the Athletic ranking the MLB radio broadcasters in 2020.
The Tigers came in 20th and were rated last in color analysis. Jim Price was rated lower than Suzyn Waldman.
San Fran and Tampa Bay were first and second.
The White Sox and Yankees were the worst rated.

Yankees I believe. Sterling just gives his stupid nicknames for players and Waldman adds absolutely nothing, similar to Price.
Cubs and Cards are good too.

Waldman is better than Price in 2023, but they need someone else in the Bronx too.

I'd rather listen to Price than Bobby Scales. I always thought Austin Jackson and Andy Dirks did a better job but apparently Scales is next in line to Price? Scales sure needs a lot of work.

Pretty sure I heard "yellow hammer" during yesterday's game 1 of the doubleheader...
