They’ve said from day one this is going to be different and innovative. I can see it. I feel it’s going to be much different than what we are used to, but I think we just will pleasantly surprised.

My advice is to keep an open mind, and not going in, thinking it’s going to be one way.

TitanTV listings indicate CBS News Detroit begins tomorrow. Only 6 and 11PM newscasts to begin with. I'm rooting for them.

If true, the station is seemingly afraid to promote it. I'm skeptical that tomorrow is the rollout.

To roll out news with minimal promotion would suggest management has little confidence in the quality of the product. Is that the case here? I do not know.

Could be that they're doing a "soft open" to make sure everything is working as planned.

Practicing off air isn't the same as putting it live on air. Not just on air people, but the behind the scenes people and equipment has to work perfectly and they might want to get a few days or a week under their belt before promoting it to all of Detroit.

I would not put much money into that stock as cbs Detroit station has failed on many deadlines.

I remember WXMI's launch of news at 10PM in the late 90s. There was no soft launch, it was actively promoted, and the premiere broadcast went nicely.

I'll be watching tomorrow at 6.

Will be interesting to see if this goes smoothly, is an utter trainwreck or something in-between.

There has been new ads that I’ve seen over the weekend. So they are promoting it.

Just checked the WWJ-TV website program guide. If you select 1/23 (tomorrow) and 6pm and/or 11pm it's there too.
