There will be a course correction in two years when abortion isn't on the ballot.TC Talks wrote: ↑Tue Nov 22, 2022 7:34 amSo here is something I've been thinking about since the election. With redistricting, Michigan will be reliably a majority democrat voting State going forward. Look at Grand Rapids for example, the Republicans need Grand Rapids to win the state. So if Michigan has been in play in the national elections, does it, being a reliably Blue State, have a major impact on the presidential races which have been very closely?

Power Trio! Go Dems!

I don't think Michigan is reliably blue indefinitely. Once the Michigan Republicans moderate, I think the moderates can go red again.
They/them, non-binary and proud.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

That will be an interesting point to watch. I don't think it's the case in Grand rapids and it's certainly not the case here in Traverse City. Redistricting delivered core Innercity districts. Both these districts have traditionally voted blue but have been so fragmented by gerrymandering they've never had a chance.
