Trudeau orders an immediate freeze on the sale of handguns in Canada

Kudos to Prime Minister Trudeau. Made a tough decision and I feel the right decision on hand guns. Gun violence is out of control. I will note people who should not have guns will find a way to get them, but that is another topic for another time. What is the USA doing? Absolutely nothing. How many more children die needlessly in school shootings? How about the random acts of gun violence on the street? There is such a thing as responsible gun ownership. But not everyone is responsible unfortunately.

Woe to you, oh earth and sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty-six

Trudeau is just another Liberal. After all is said and done, more is said than done
I don't mean to brag, but I just put a puzzle together in 1 day and the box said 2-4 years.

So you are all in favor of disarming the responsible people to put them at the mercy of the element that shouldn't have guns but get them, as you say, anyway?Taco wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 10:56 amhttps://www.npr.org/2022/10/21/11306088 ... les-freeze

New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

He's like the kid who got picked on in high school but then get a job as a police officer and thoroughly enjoys exerting power over others.

I don’t think that comparison translates perfectly between the two countries.Bryce wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 11:38 amSo you are all in favor of disarming the responsible people to put them at the mercy of the element that shouldn't have guns but get them, as you say, anyway?Taco wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 10:56 amhttps://www.npr.org/2022/10/21/11306088 ... les-freeze

This no longer happens Bryce. Mass murders get guns due to the NRA's lax position on proper vetting. Kids steal parents guns. Those armed rarely "respond" to crisis, even police officers. Suicide risk increases in homes with guns. I can keep going.Bryce wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 11:38 amSo you are all in favor of disarming the responsible people to put them at the mercy of the element that shouldn't have guns but get them, as you say, anyway?Taco wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 10:56 amhttps://www.npr.org/2022/10/21/11306088 ... les-freeze

Wrong country. I’m saying things are different in Canada and these sorts of things aren’t a dime a dozen. Gun crimes are a fraction of what they are here.Bryce wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 8:10 amRate This wrote: ↑Sun Oct 23, 2022 7:05 amHis point defeated and channeling his inner Italian, he throws his hands up in the air and storms off mumbling under his breath.Bryce wrote: ↑Sat Oct 22, 2022 10:05 pmWell here's something that I'm relatively certain of the meaning. Re: Trudeau orders an immediate freeze on the sale of handguns in Canada
It's certainly getting rarer, and will continue to get rarer as more folks realize that trying to help someone else out comes with H*** risks including folks 'monday-morning quarterbacking' and pushing for convictions for such folks. Why put yourself at ANY risk unless it's YOUR life that's being threatened? That includes cops, who are more and more "looking the other way" rather than taking on that risk, and it puts us ALL in more danger.
