How are they going to sell this station without getting Neilson? So we have felon in the morning remember him from his 4 hour commercial that he did for his pizza place on 92.5 Kiss Fm 4 Morning shows ago?

Do you think when 103.3 starts to fail, he'll start another radio station that will hopefully bill more to support the other one. Because that's what smart businessmen do.

That was just an awful storm, worst thing I've ever seen in my life thus far. I remember having to go to work the next morning, A couple of people who worked at my place of employment lived in Mulberry, Northwood, and around Genoa. It was really surreal.CurlyHoward wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 12:43 pm remember right after the tornado in June 2010?

But yeah that sounds familiar.

So he basically promoted his business in the middle of a tragedy like that?CurlyHoward wrote: ↑Mon Sep 12, 2022 12:43 pm remember right after the tornado in June 2010?

I remember his ads on TV that had his kids or some other kids promoting it at the time.

I made sure not to listen to Andrew Z when driving through Toledo yesterday morning. Heard it once years ago and said “never again”.
Re: PARTY 103.3 Over/Under
Smart, it's not funny. Everyone is talking at the same time. All trying to out do the last persons terrible joke. Combined with promoting some scheme Andrew is involved in to make side hustle cash.
He should just stick to making terrible Mexican food with his grubby fingernails.

Sounds like a bunch of people that are trying to out do each other act like you have been here before. You will never beat Mojo 50k watts to 3k and you don't even get ratings.

Re: PARTY 103.3 Over/Under
I, unfortunately, am going to pick "over." I saw on the FCC's web site that Fusion Radio, the owners of 1520 WPAY and 103.3, is planning to also put 1520 on W221BG. That's on the same Westwood Avenue tower that the 94.9 The Beat and WSPD on 92.9FM translators are on, at 94.1. Given the coverage that the other two mentioned translators have over the bulk of metro Toledo. combining the coverage area of 103.3 and 94.1 could give it a half decent chance of making a dent in CHR listening. I don't think coverage will be the determining factor. if they can come up with some compelling programming, it just might stick around.

Fusion/Jamtraxx is a well established consultancy. They are somehow connected to the United Stations Network's syndicated Rhythmic/Dance content, among others. Why they are dipping their toe in the water on ownership of radio stations is a mystery to me.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat Sep 17, 2022 7:45 am Where's the money going to come from to pay on-air staff, salespeople (although I suspect the on-air staffers will double as salespeople) and rent for what looks to be not just one but possibly two (!!!) tower sites?
There are only so many ad dollars to go around in the Toledo market. This station will likely have to settle for bottom of the barrel clients, as I cannot see it being very successful in attracting agency business given lack of scale, limited signal reach, and lack of established brand identity / ratings.
Once whatever seed money these guys have runs out, I think the operation will go belly-up rather quickly. I'll say 6 months.

Again. Go back to making terrible food truck food with your grubby finger nails.

This will be interesting to see what happens. Check out Part 103.3's Facebook page, Andrew is venting and taking jabs at Cumulus and I-Heart. I don't see this lasting long term, if the money dries up then who knows what will happen,
The fact it took them a year to get this station on the air, makes me wonder how stable this whole thing is.
