Yes! His battles with former Flint mayor Woodrow Stanley were legendary. Most reporters these days just are part of the city hall PR machine

I just saw Jim report at the very top of WXYZ's newscast this evening. I tuned in a minute or two late. Had no idea he was retiring!

I've enjoyed his work at both WDIV and WXYZ.

Jim's work usually contained more substance than a fair number of his contemporaries. A lot of the WNEM clips were of a lighter nature, but we've seen his other work on the various stations he was with.
