If Maltby shows, how soon does the "interview" devolve into the "did/do you know" round of questioning, designed wholly to showcase Ron's breadth of contacts?! I'm curious to learn if Maltby ever got the chance to meet Jack Adams.

What will get more airtime: baseball scores or discussions of two big stories that broke late in the week (the Red Wings' hiring of a new coach, and the possible addition of USC and UCLA to the "Big 10")?

I'm curious if Ron will ask Maltby is he ever met Syd Howe or Terry Sawchuck. If Maltby stiffs him again, Ron will mysteriously lose his phone number????

When Ron gets stiffed by a guest, it's always fun to listen to him wildly vacillate between anger at the guest and hopefulness that he will still be able to get that guest.

No, at least I don’t think so. I think he likes to call first to set the tone I do wish he would not be the first caller because he calls so early in the show. Though last week he responded to the buzzboard crowd and called back in the second hour
