What will get more airtime: baseball scores or discussions of two big stories that broke late in the week (the Red Wings' hiring of a new coach, and the possible addition of USC and UCLA to the "Big 10")?Momo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 8:21 amThe worst three hours of the week for PR guy Colangelo.radiofan1974 wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 7:26 am Hello everyone,
Welcome to the pre Fourth of July edition of Sportstalk pretalk, where we try to summarize in a buzzboard way what hard hitting topics will be discussed
Will Kurt Maltby appear in tonight’s show and if so will there be a discussion on the recent wings/avs documentary or will the discussion continue on how the illitches idolize him
Side note-will Ron agree with Chris illitch who said this week, he is likening the progress of his current 30-46 Tigers
Will there be a special 4th of July edition of the player letter game by Kurt?
The USFL championship is tonight will there be play by play by the only non homer in the business
Will the continues bashing of one Matt shepherd continue by R sizzle and his non fact statements of him finding no work if for some reason he left the tigers continue?
Will The PR crusade continue against the Tigers
As we move now in July will we continue to hear
About various guests who will be coming on in “a few weeks”
Please add your thoughts on the fastest, longest running sports show radio show!
Will Ron confuse the holiday?
Will Cowboy inform us that his (69th) birthday is on Wednesday?
If Maltby shows, how soon does the "interview" devolve into the "did/do you know" round of questioning, designed wholly to showcase Ron's breadth of contacts?! I'm curious to learn if Maltby ever got the chance to meet Jack Adams.

When Ron gets stiffed by a guest, it's always fun to listen to him wildly vacillate between anger at the guest and hopefulness that he will still be able to get that guest.
Re: Ron Cameron
I've always wondered...this Mr. Positive person is always the first caller on the show. Is this a plant to get the ball rolling???

No, at least I don’t think so. I think he likes to call first to set the tone

Re: Ron Cameron
And, witness his reaction to Denny's absence last week, his oh-so sincere concern for the mysteriously missing guest's well-being. "I hope he's okay."

Yes he appeared to be frustrated and concerned at the same timeMomo wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 11:47 amAnd, witness his reaction to Denny's absence last week, his oh-so sincere concern for the mysteriously missing guest's well-being. "I hope he's okay."

Can this broadcasting legend be heard live on the web? I can't pull that station here?

Some breaking news..Denny is on tonight. Hasn't been able to get ahold of Maltby, who apparently knew it was a holiday weekend and said he was available because of that.

Re: Ron Cameron
Ron is not chasing anyone!!
Re: Ron Cameron
In a relief to so many, Ron, unsuccessful in reaching Maltby, is now saying he’ll not chase after prospective guests.
Re: Ron Cameron
Until sitting today, Cabrera had a hit streak. Will Ron mention it?
