It’s good to be missed. The Flint board has been booooring without me/us.

To set the record straight, I have no idea who “Under New Management” is. It isn’t me/us.

But I’m glad someone finally decided to pick up where we left off. Maybe Becky will do more than the former GM/accountant in chief/egomaniac to clean house and set WEYI up for success. I’d start with firing the In Over Her Head News Director, the Director of Declining Sales, the ASSistant GM/Promotions Director, the HR Director/Grilled Cheese Party Planner.

However Becky will probably just follow corporate directives and run 25/66/46 on the cheap like she did when Barrington ran WEYI.

Ahmad is so deserving. Looking at what’s left in the market, I wonder who is next to leave if a bigger market comes calling.

Probably anyone. This market has gone to pot and watching the news is harder for us by the day. I almost wish abc12 woudl just be dissolved into wxyz.

ABC 12 has, in my opinion, dissolved into a public access channel. The weekend news is bad. Anchors don't say their names or say good evening, just start reading the news, which is all the national news we will see in less than 30 minutes on World News. The last shot of the newscast with the anchor far away saying World News is next looks bad. Can we fill more time with the obituaries? Matt and Angie should have gotten out years ago. What an embarrassment.

I wouldn’t go that far in saying their public access but will say that the downfall of the past couple of years seems to have unfortunately accelerated with Allen Media Group taking over. I had higher hopes. Too bad ABC was no longer interested in owning them any longer.

Tonight is Ahmad’s last day at WEYI. He’s still not saying where he’s going to…. But the rumor remains it’s CBS 62 in Detroit…

He has told the staff he is going to CBS for their new launch. Seems from his post on his Facebook page this morning he has to wait for them to send that information out first.

Well from what we've seen and heard over the past few years, who knows. Leslie won't be chief (I don't think she wants it), but she and Ron will probably be doing it for quite a while. Maybe they'll pull someone from one of the other Sinclair stations.
