Wow. I am shocked. Please tell me you don't like Fall Out Boy.

That makes me feel like YOU should say sorry 😂

For real, I have heard some GREAT gold the last week or two. Interstate Love Song, Comedown, these were all songs the original 98.7 WLLZ was playing heavily their last year or so in existence. THIS is what I was talking about when they first started up in 2020!

Side note, totally unrelated (and I can't be arsed to start a new thread): major kudos to WCSX. The last two days I have heard a couple of great Sammy Hagar cuts. Hagar on CSX was rare (55 being the tertiary exception), so to hear more of his stuff is awesome!

I didn't say it was the greatest song ever, it's just nice to hear it on the 98.7 frequency again! 😂 I would certainly take that over another droning Lumineers song!

The numbers are already going up quite a bit among men 25-54 and 18-34.

I can vouch for that. While its not yet a go-to station for me it is one of the first choices when I'm faced with "Shot Through the Heart" or "Sweet Home Alabama" for the millionth time.

It is going to be interesting to see if they can get close or even pass WLLZ. There's definitely some momentum with the new playlist.

I was never big into them back when. I think most of my enjoyment comes from a place of nostalgia.

Core could stand to be put away by rock radio. They have a number of other hits. Sour Girl, Lady Picture Show and Days of the Week come to mind.

“Days of the Week”, “Tripping….”, and “Unglued” are some of my favorites. I agree with MW’s songs that I could never hear again from STP.

So, more of the up tempo stuff instead of the slower stuff? I guess I can see that. Fair enough.

I don't think you'll have to. STP, like so many others, have had their numerous hits and radio songs narrowed down. Usually something from Core, but I've heard Vasoline lately. It's rare FM goes past Purple.
