I'll miss her when I'm in the Jackson area. I remember when she was on WILX the first time (before she went to Flint and came back to Lansing). She seemed so nervous, but by the time she came back after being in Flint for a while, she was so good! She's my family's favorite. Since she moved to mornings, my dad will occasionally ask what happened to Claire, and I always tell him to watch the morning news. haha. Anyway, good luck to her with whatever comes next.

We watch her when in the Lansing area. She was very good on air and we will miss her. Wonder where she will pop up next?

It doesn’t look like TV will be in her future. Her husband is a physicist (being near the FRIB at MSU is likely to be highly desired) and she is currently looking for a web development job after recently finishing coursework at MSU.

If Claire was leaving TV, I would have expected her to hang around until Emily Wahls was ready to go. Emily left 6 in late August 2020. February came and gone, so her no-compete is longer than 6 months. Would it be 9 months? That would be right about now. Or is it a year? What would a typical no-compete be for someone like Emily Wahls?
