Biden's decisive foreign policies
Biden's decisive foreign policies
In the same week we have had two major policy decisions;
Afghanistan has been a mess since George W Bush thought it would be a good idea to start a war to help his friend Dick Cheney's company.
There was no exit plan because there never was a goal set when we entered the conflict. Biden has put an end to this which everyone agrees was a decision that should have been made but we just didn't have an administration capable of pulling it off until now.
Today, some very strong sanctions have been levied against Russia for their fettered hacking of both corporate and governments assets. Since Donald Trump was trying to woo Putin, he certainly wasn't going to do this but we need to start acknowledging we are under attack in a very different way these days.
I doubt we'll get much feedback from some of the posters here but these are both very good policy decisions by someone who actually can be a leader.

Re: Biden's decisive foreign policies
Funny. When Trump wanted to pull out of Afghanistan, it was a bad idea. Now, all of a sudden it's great idea.
Sanctions work? Why have they been lifted from Iran?
Oh, so Russia IS a threat. Mitt Romney was right. Instead of being mocked at the time, he should have been hailed as a visionary.Politicians and pundits alike have roundly criticized Donald Trump for stating he will pull our troops out of Syria and cut US forces in Afghanistan by half. James Mattis immediately resigned as secretary of defense, writing in a letter to Trump, “you have the right to have a Secretary of Defense whose views are better aligned with yours.”
Sanctions work? Why have they been lifted from Iran?
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.

Re: Biden's decisive foreign policies
Neither did Biden for 8 years as. v.p.
But here is what happen when Trump mention to do it.
“The move was immediately opposed by the Opposition Democratic Party of the President-elect Joe Biden, whose lawmakers described it as a threat to national security”

Re: Biden's decisive foreign policies
Russia has been a threat since the end of World War II. There are some people who just do not realize it.
Re: Biden's decisive foreign policies
Was it Joe's old boss who said something like "And the 1980s are now calling to ask for their foreign policy back. Because, y’know, the Cold War has been over for 20 years.”
Maybe Joe is just towing the old line?

Re: Biden's decisive foreign policies
Yes. That guy was a real incompetent asshole. Joe might be worse.
Voting for Trump is dumber than playing Russian Roulette with fully loaded chambers.
Re: Biden's decisive foreign policies
For someone who is incompetent, he sure is getting more done in his first 100 days then the orange supremacist did.
I'm very happy with how things are going and look forward to Joe moving forward with his corporate tax strategy and gun safety measures.

Re: Biden's decisive foreign policies
Well, lets see...
Russia has moved a massive amount of troops and tanks to the Ukraine border and tensions are mounting. U.S. Military in the region is at highest alert status Many feel war is imminent.
Iran is enriching uranium at 60%, it's highest level to date, and getting very close to weapons grade.
After years of relative peace (and peace treaties) in the middle east, tensions between Israel and the Arab world have returned.
We have a full blown crisis at our southern border, with kids in cages at levels never seen before, Covid running rampant there and the person delegated to over see it hasn't even seen fit to visit the border or hold a press conference on the crisis regarding the problem in over 25 days.
Cities across America are burning and citizens are rioting.
Yeah, I'd say he's done A LOT!
