It’s worth noting that 98.7 would likely be a top five station 6+ had they stayed the course with Christmas music. Instead, they have a 2.0 share. Yikes!

That's very low for a station with a new format. Entercom made a mistake.

A 16+ share for the Holiday period- holy smokes, so much repetition and limited playlist, I certainly did NOT expect it to garner that giant of a market share

WLLZ trending down and/or treading water. When will they get the hint? :rollin
Play good solid rock and roll tunes from the 80's and 90's and dont spin the safe songs too much. Thats all we ask.

Unfortunately, even with a repetitive playlist, when you're the only station playing Christmas music, people will still listen nonetheless.

It's because there was no other option.
Nobody else was playing it

The holiday book isn't all that meaningful because WNIC grabs 8 to 10 extra shares that cause other stations' numbers to be lower than usual.

The January book will be more meaningful.

ALT 98.7 will have a quick death, especially without any local air talent. A 2.0 for the Holiday book. It will probably sink to a 1.2 share by summer.

So why didn't 98.7 go all Christmas?

They did, and beat 100.3 to the punch in fact. That all changed when they flipped to Alt just after 88.7 and 93.9 flipped and essentially stopped having anything to do with the US side of the border.
