Is Homer Simpson Middle Class?

The Life in The Simpsons Is No Longer Attainable

The most famous dysfunctional family of 1990s television enjoyed, by today’s standards, an almost dreamily secure existence.

Hate to burst your bubble, but The Simpsons is a cartoon. The characters don’t exist and therefore do not belong to any socio-economic class.

Also, Bert and Ernie on Sesame Street are fictitious too. They are not XX or XY because they do not have human chromosomes. And therefore, they are neither gay nor straight.

Same goes for the DNC featured speaker who identifies as a “mermaid queen-king.”

You're out of touch. This thread is in connection to a discussion that took place here while you were still banned.

BTW. Just go.

I wouldn't even bother, turk. lovinlife lives to troll. She/he/it has nothing else in its sad existence but to argue with other people. She sees real people with wives, husbands, friends, etc., but she has no-one, so this gives her some joy.. Now I just ignore. MW is aware and doesn't want the hassle, I guess. His site, his rules. I think he might feel sorry for her since she has no life.. Me, I would love to ban her! Such a reprehensible piece of human garbage....I would like to take away the one piece of her sad life that keeps her going. She was probably so excited to make up the new username...and is so out if touch with reality, that she thinks she is getting away with something. Meanwhile, the whole site deplores her.

Anyway, don't worry about it.. Enjoy some good beer with your lovely wife. Hockey is back, or watch some football. Bet the under in the Buffalo game. Have a great weekend.

Maybe a better question is are the Simpsons still watchable? My answer is yes but it was funnier in the 90's.

Homer is middle class. He has a job that he sleeps at, so he is likely in a union.

But, I thought income was the criteria.

If he's in a Union he's working class.
