Although the snippets are brief, the station sounds quite compelling here.
Attitude-laden, well produced imaging.
Highly engaged air personalities.
GREAT music from Soundgarden, Sponge, Primus, Filter, Live (a seriously underappreciated band from that era) and others.
Then, just as it did during its final couple years of existence, the station ID'd as "New Rock 89X."
Too bad people such as Mark McKenzie toward the end pushed no talent CRAP bands such as Monster Truck and Ashes of Soma as opposed to playing a higher percentage of material from the golden era of the station.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through June 3 at 5:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

They/them, non-binary and proud.
Remember that “2000 Mules” was concocted by a circus of elephants.
The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.
Audacity sucks.

We used to pop a tape in the deck, hit record, go out and maybe play some hockey or something...and would get so many great songs from 89x. You might get a "blech" from time to time, but you were guaranteed to get more good than bad. Those were the days.

Man, I would definitely listen to a station like this.
Oh, that's right. A station did like exist like this once and it was driven unceremoniously into the ground.
