Word is out that Bill Vogel has passed away.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat Dec 26, 2020 5:02 pmI just learned that well known car dealer and big radio spender Rich LaLonde passed away on October 25.
He and his family owned Summit Place Kia in Clinton Twp, Waterford and Grand Rapids plus a Chrysler dealership in Imlay City.
Covid??? Cause of death to best of my knowledge has not been publicly disclosed.
What prompted my googling of the topic is the fact Bill Vogel has been doing voiceovers for all their radio spots lately, and the batch before that only featured Tonia.

I noticed that Tonia has been doing ads by herself since Rich passed. We may hear more of her now that Bill Vogel has passed as well.

Probably true, but they've also engaged the services of the other booming radio voice who does a zillion ads for car dealerships (many years ago, that same gentleman worked in production at All News 67 WMAQ in Chicago, I believe).

I think his name is Mitch Phillips. He's also been the longtime voice for the Kia dealership in Toledo.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sat Mar 20, 2021 6:34 pmProbably true, but they've also engaged the services of the other booming radio voice who does a zillion ads for car dealerships (many years ago, that same gentleman worked in production at All News 67 WMAQ in Chicago, I believe).

They look like relatively decent folks. I've known some serious pricks in their positions.
