Former ABC 12 reporter Linsey Davis is having a banner year, despite COVID. She’s received high praise for her election night coverage which propelled ABC News to the most watched network, her debate performance, a new children’s book, a Nightline series on race, and anchoring a nightly prime time streaming newscast.

That is indeed good to hear. I didn't realize that Nightline was even still on. I guess I don't watch ABC very much.

Good things happen when you can get out of ABC12 where careers go to stall. Pretty sad when after many years your demo reel is just Snowfest and Back to the Bricks

I don’t know... in addition to Linsey, WJRT also was home to Gabe Guitterez, now of NBC. Plus Glenda Lewis and Cristy MacDonald of WXYZ worked there as well. But that was under very different (better) management.

Reece Davis went from abc12 sports to ESPN and is the anchor for College Football Gameday.

And Maureen Maher, now of CBS News.

12 —under Jim Bleicher and Tom Bryson — definitely had a streak of finding talent.

Now? The current out of towner News Director hasn’t been successful.

I remember watching Maher anchor the morning news. She was my favorite all-time anchor at 12.
