Schools Reopening Not A Major Covid-19 Problem
My daughters have been in school since late August. No Covid-19 outbreak. I think they are already immune. If they do get they are over it so quick it's not problem, they stay home a few days and all is good.
Many us already went through some sort of illness that hung on in Feb or March.
As this article pointed out 4 months ago it would not a be major problem:

My step daughter sent one kid to catholic school and two kids to a Lutheran preschool.

Is one school near downtown, and one near US-23?

No, they live in Grosse Pointe Farms. St Joan of Arc on Mack and Christ The King preschool also on Mack.
And to be clear she sent them there because they were open for business in the buildings.... AND......sidebar she is a pediatric nurse at Beaumont Royal Oak.

The thing with anecdotes like this is that there are nurses calling this a hoax so ymmv with individual decisions even from folks on the front lines...craig11152 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 2:39 pmNo, they live in Grosse Pointe Farms. St Joan of Arc on Mack and Christ The King preschool also on Mack.

I have spent some significant time visiting hospitals recently they are not panicked about Covid-19. They don't even make untested patients wear masks.

No in Michigan USA.
I was kind of annoyed at the lax attitude.

I’m saying that Wisconsin is currently on fire... the ICU’s in northern Wisconsin are full or close to it and field hospitals are being set up. It’s bad. The question is whether folks are gonna start wearing masks or just let it go. But cases nationally are surging as well.audiophile wrote: ↑Sat Oct 10, 2020 4:32 pmNo in Michigan USA.

I get that hospitals here shouldn’t be so lax.

Michigan is also on fire. 1500 new cases today. The cases have spread from the UP to the northern LP. We're next, folks. I just bought some toilet paper today.

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

What does toilet paper have to do with anything?
Shutdowns don't stop the spread they only pause it.

I think MCRF is looking for another shutdown soon which seems likely if these trends continue.audiophile wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 5:06 amWhat does toilet paper have to do with anything?

Re: Schools Reopening Not A Major Covid-19 Problem
People are panic buying today. Everyone on Facebook was posting their Meijer line pics to the back of the store. I was simply getting ahead by stocking up on toilet paper and making sure I am good until February. We hit 1500 cases and since the mask orders are likely to be stripped away, I fully expect the hospitals to be overloaded by Thanksgiving. We will probably start seeing the tents outside each hospital again. But hey, at least I don't have to wear a mask now! Freedumb!!!!!!

Whitmer should just declare a state of emergency and cancel it on day 29 and reissue everything the next day and be done with it. Make them take 6 months to get through the courts again. Fuck em. Tomorrow’s numbers should be fun. 1900 or so cases is the record for one day.MotorCityRadioFreak wrote: ↑Sun Oct 11, 2020 5:25 pmPeople are panic buying today.
