I wish the CRTC would treat subchannels as if they were part of the primary station. I would really like to see some Canadian diginets! Maybe CBC could have a Canadian reruns diginet (akin to Me TV, but Canadian). And maybe we could enjoy some SCTV (take off hoser!)
Alas, Canadian cord cutters have it rough if they don't live near the border. (Sorry, Newfoundland!)
At the very least, they could have had CBC/SRC transmitters broadcasting the local majority language in HD and minority language in SD.
Your exactly right, seeing the CBC is tax payer funded CBC Windsor should be CBC 9.1 HD, CBC Francais 9.2 SD, CBC Newsworld 9.3 SD
But that's the common sense approach to broadcasting, we have idiots running the show....
F**K Trudeau and F**K CBC !!!!

And that would be nice and necessary. Radio-Canada certainly deserves a place as a subchannel on these stations.

The real waste was moving CBEFT to DT channel 35 (IIRC), only to operate it for less than a year!!!

I think it was analog 35, but it did move from 54 in 2011

CBEFT never was in digital, as the CBC planned on shuttering its repeater network instead of converting to digital, regardless of market size. And as CBEFT had no local programming for just Windsor, they were on the chopping block.
