Local TV gets a big fat "F" for its coverage -- or monumental lack of -- of the dam/bridge failures and evacuations last night. They break into programming to blubber on endlessly about tornado warnings and watches, but totally dropped the ball on this one. Pathetic.
Was watching CH 5.2 last night around 9:30pm, when they stopped programming for a "live feature". Couldn't hear or discern what these people were saying. Then they lost connection for a minute or two to complicate things. But rest assured, Custer came to the rescue and did a "highlight" of the announcement.

YUP, they dropped the ball, BUT.............."it's coverage you can count on".

To demonstrate the difference: What happened in Edenville and Sanford were dam failures, while Gretchen Whitmer and Dana Nessel are damn failures.
You hit the nail squarely on the head.
