Seriously? You can’t tell the station’s gay?
And speaking of gay, what will happen to “Chad & The Conklin-ettes”?

I’ll never understand why the ignorant and lazy are promoted while the hard-working ones are left to post here.sinklair wrote: ↑Fri Mar 20, 2020 3:15 pmLeaders lead. Losers flee when the times get tough. That’s what Conklin will be remembered for.
He took a last place TV station, ran it into the ground, and left us in a worse shape.
Congrats on your new opportunity... but you’re still a bad leader who doesn’t care about his employees. I hope they like grilled cheese better in Seattle better than we do in Flint!

More rearranging deck chairs.
Cocklin did nothing for the product, morale, or growth.
The move is simple. His job is the easiest to replace. They could put a monkey in his spot and the finances would stay the same. Maybe improve.

Getting rid of the dinosaurs, throwing a “semi-retirement” party as if the pope died, and slinging cheese sandwiches are all he will be known for. Guess that gets you a ticket to Seattle.Beerbong wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 11:18 amJealous much?sinklair wrote: ↑Sat Mar 21, 2020 10:09 amLil: short timer is the exiting GM/accountant in chief
Lovin: what you need is someone who understands how to work the system but is actually able to stand up and advocate what’s right for your workers.
That’s what Chad failed to do here at 25-66. He was a company man. He took his marching orders from corporate, didn’t question them, told us to suck it up when we said there was a better way to do it.
Remember the Sinclair promo our anchors were forced to read? EVERYBODY complained. The GM was silent on the whole matter. In the end, we got tons of phone calls and Sinclair was forced to admit it was wrong to make our anchors do it. Chad was still silent.
Being a company man may get you promoted, but he’s entering a station that was recently bought by Sinclair and still doesn’t agree with the company’s top down nature. He won’t last. I give it less than 5 years before he’s run out of town or “promoted” to a position where he can do less damage.
My tip of the day: don’t get too comfortable or unpack all your boxes,
Your GM did not get promoted to Seattle because he’s a failure.
That is H*** move up the ladder.
You, on the other hand will never be anything more than what you are at this moment. Remember that.

In fact, the only thing people like Cocklin, agents, and a union are good for are passing out lube when you’re about to get screwed!

Joel Feick and the other butt kissers are wishing him well publicly.
Guess that’s the way to stay in the business: keep quiet, don’t stand up for yourself, don’t stick up for anyone else, kiss a lot of butt.

Re: Conklin Leaving?!?!
Employees there fall in one of five categories:
1. Those who couldn’t get a job anywhere else and their dad gets them the job.
2. Those who are among the most ignorant among us, but kiss butt and keep their mouths shut. (See most managers)
3. Those like Sinklair who are like the abused and neglected partner that refuses to better themselves and leave the abusive partner. And with two black eyes (because their partner apparently told them something twice) screams, “I can’t leave him! He loves me!!! Things will get better!!! Just wait!!! Gotta be patient!!!! I make him angry!!!! It’s my fault!!!!”
4. People like Deputy Harris and Joel Feick who needed something to do it that’s tied to a paycheck before collecting social security.
5. Newly out of college, or still in college, or still in high school temporary employee because they’re cheap.

Like a partner in an abusive relationship, you have every right to stay in that relationship.sinklair wrote: ↑Fri Mar 27, 2020 2:40 pmHD: Waaaaaay ahead of you. I’ve had the resume updated for some time now. Once my contract opens, I’ll be moving on as quickly as possible. You’re right about it could be worse under the new GM. Not only is that a possibility, I’m expecting it. Sinclair believes on promoting to the highest level of incompetence— hence the woeful “management team” that Conklin assembled.
But I also love it how Lovin is so quick to criticize me for exercising my right to advocate for improving workplace conditions at 25-66, but whenever someone tries to shut him up, he cries censorship!
But realize, you can only change yourself.
No censorship on my part. No attempt to silence you.
This is the first time I have heard about your moving on after your contract is up. So glad you’ve seen the light!

We all stand ready to help once you make the decision to leave. It has to be your decision. He doesn’t love you. He’s using you. He’s abusing you. It’s not your fault. He’s gaslighting you. It will not get better until you leave. We will run to you with open arms when you leave. You’re worth it.

Beer will appear after Chad’s next bowel movement. He’s pretty stuck up there.

Not bloody likely.
It’ll be an in-over-their-head first timer who will tow the company line. Likely a former assistant sales manager from Walgreens.

Even if the Flint Urinal wanted to do a story, it couldn’t print the statements from those who worked for him. Best to pass on the story unless they want to quote Bill and Joel only.
