Old Drug Shows New Promise

Post by TC Shuts Up » Sun Mar 22, 2020 2:16 am

I know that many of you want older people to die, because they tend to vote more conservative, and you want to inherit their money earlier (and believe me, I've seen this inheritance controversy A LOT with friends and relatives' families), but an old drug shows promise in treating people with coronavirus, both prophylactically and therapeutically. Dr. Drew Pinsky has had a lot of experience with the drug, and has said side effects are reversible and or insignificant.

It's Hydroxychoroquine (Plaquenil), formerly used for malaria, lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and others. If you have a choice between dying and living, why should we worry about side effects? All drugs have side effects. High priced lawyers rattle them off all night on TV for all kinds of new drugs and sound like Ben Shapiro on Methamphetamine.

Or maybe you can't wait for your inheritance, or want to vote their ballots for them when they are on life support? Well, a lot of you ARE selfish, arrogant jerks.

I found this interesting:

Denson said nearly all of his most critically ill patients have a combination of three specific underlying medical problems: obesity, high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes.

Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

I've been following this for a few weeks now. It does look promising and even a small dose to delay the virus from overtaking your lungs before your body mounts a defense is a H U G E step. It still allows your body to combat this and build an immunity (which is good) but just helps you get through it quicker and easier. I'd say very, very promising at this point.

There are a couple others in the pipeline too that might help, but this one looks to be the easiest/quickest to deploy in mass numbers because there is already a stockpile and it's relatively easy to manufacture.

It seems at least some elements of the media are dubbing any excitement for these drugs as "false hope"

It is interesting to see the stark difference in coverage between various media outlets on this malaria drug.

Positive:
Wired: Chloroquine May Fight Covid-19—and Silicon Valley’s Into It
Fox News: Toxicologist says anti-malaria drugs show 'promise' in treating coronavirus

Neutral:
Fox News: Trump announces FDA making anti-malaria drug available to test coronavirus treatment
Wall Street Journal: Doctors Turn to Malaria Drugs as Potential Coronavirus Treatment
ABC News: Chloroquine, an old malaria drug, may help treat novel coronavirus, doctors say

Negative:
New York Times: Trump's Embrace of Unproven Drugs to Test Coronavirus Defies Science
Bloomberg: Trump Pushes an Unproven Coronavirus Drug, and Patients Stock Up
New York Times: With Minimal Evidence, Trump Asks F.D.A. to Study Malaria Drugs for Coronavirus
CNN: A terrified nation needs a leader during this crisis, not a salesman

I was reading somewhere that the combination of this and the other drug they are pushing could result in death... the two drugs are not intended to work together at the same time in the body.

Not all... just certain old people.
