Not sure if he is subject to a non-compete agreement - but I must say, it would behoove 93.1 to hire the excellent "Frank Williams, Jr." to join their airstaff.

I enjoyed his on-air work. Entercom's decision to lay him off due to budget cuts is chicken shit.

I'll say it again - WYCD...err "99-5 YCD"...sounds FUCKING TERRIBLE right now!!! I guess Entercom wants to ruin that station just like they've ruined 99.5 in Chicago (check their recent ratings).

Only show I remember on WOW was Dr. Don doing afternoon drive. Sorry Mark.
Here's a quick remembrance of my wholesome family show middays 10 - 3 (which is a hell of a long time to TALK) on WOWF - WoW FM.

Ive never listened to WYCD on 99.5, prob. since WOW FM.
So it's true - someone actually DID listen to Wow FM!
So that makes three. This person, and the two middle school students who would call in and do prank calls.

We did have a lot of prank phone calls... WOW-FM was an unmitigated disaster. I was certainly part of that disaster, luckily I wasn't captaining that sinking ship which saved a little bit of my reputation. But I did learn a lot..

All social media pages have been moved. Still have the current Nash logos.
I'm hoping they will go witht he same logo as their sister station 96.3 KSCS and not 101.5 WKHX's logo :barf

Nothing sucks as much as the Lions do.

I hope they're simulcast on 93.1. I miss hearing them stink it up in stereo.

Wow, 'New Country', what a boring rebrand. Especially weird considering that they've apparently hitched this debut wagon to an an artist that's 60 years old and has been performing for over 30 years.

I hope they have A LOT more in store than just this. Detroit is not well served by a corporate playlist of snap tracks and drinking songs. Honestly, if that's all they have, we'll have another flop and country fans will continue to move away from terrestrial.

They launched today. So much for that theory.

Broadway is indeed doing mornings.

The station quietly made the change this morning. It's as if management is trying to conceal the changes in morning drive from the audience!

Broadway and Krissie are the new morning team. Zero mention of it being their first day during the time I listened.

Station imaging is same as before, except the harsh voiced male liner reader now says "New Country 93-1" instead of Nash FM 93-1.

No changes to playlist categories; those were phased in over the past several weeks.

I don't like the processing; too much mid treble. It's fatiguing. Still sounds better than 99.5's mushy processing, though.

Bill was rattling the cage about changes coming on social media on Monday and posted a picture with his new on-air partner today. Best of luck to them.
