Uh-oh. The big party bosses don't like Sanders.

The DNC is doing a bit of Dilation 'N' Curettage on itself.

The democrat party sure loves Superdelegates - that they got the idea from the communists.

That the party leaders should have some say in what the party does? Kinda like having an electoral college? Do tell...

Why don't they just pick one themselves, or draw one out of a straw hat then?

They do primaries and caucuses, then pick someone else anyway (besides changing rules as the go).

The electoral college has never done that.

But that’s not what they do at all. Bernie didn’t come close last time. That’s been shown in vote totals and statistically.. his supporters were just pouting because they lost fair and square...

There was a 3 million difference last time, but this time might be different.

And that’s fine, and they are moving to derail him... but they are also afraid he can’t win. But like the electoral college where the parties pick their electors at state conventions and the people don’t have a direct say.. the parties have a lot of latitude to decide how their candidates are picked. The Democrats have chosen to reserve some of that power for party leadership which leads to more moderate candidates. The Republicans by contrast have left it entirely to their voters which produces any lunatic the people want. This is how we ended up with Trump.

There were many Democrats that voted for Trump in primary to try screw up the election. Even members of this board.

And many Republicans will vote Bernie... that’s common and par for the course...

I think Sanders would be no weaker a candidate than Biden in a general contest.

Right now, many of the public has a distrust of the Democratic Party Elite.
I ponder the pros and cons of the Democratic "Good ol' Boys" publicly showing disapproval of Sanders.
Bernie starts getting up on the stump saying "THEY don't want me".
I wonder if the sort of thing could backfire on the party.

Seems like things are going swell in Iowa. I'm glad I didn't stay up late, LOL.
