Re: Ron Cameron
I’m beginning to think the station is more incompetent than Ron.
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron’s podcasts remain on the site. WDTK should realize that no replacement is going to bring more interest than Ron does. Even if for the wrong reasons.
Re: Ron Cameron
I've heard from some inside people that Ron is meeting with WJR..some turn of events.
Re: Ron Cameron
I’ll say. Maybe this is his chance to avenge those he’s claimed were stabbed in the back by Frank Beckmann.

Re: Ron Cameron
I totally agree. At this point, they should add Ron to the payroll and have their ad people go out there and get commercials. Have Ron concentrate on the show. The only reason I visited that website and listened was because of Ron.
Re: Ron Cameron
Can you imagine all the new audience Ron would get at WJR though if it really happens? So powerful of a signal it'd happen by default.

Re: Ron Cameron
Matt is teasing on his Twitter that he has a major announcement coming. . Who knows.. Wouldn't think wjr would bring Ron on.. Unless it's brokered time
Re: Ron Cameron
Ron, quite proudly he claims, hasn't had a non-brokered radio job in 40 years, since his WXYZ days, so I doubt any WJR gig would be other than brokered. He's not replacing Paul W. Wouldn't it be ironic if all the buzz from this board - all for the wrong reasons, of course - has given Ron's career some juice?!
Re: Ron Cameron
Watch it be the overnight shift or something on Saturday or Sunday. Some throw away timeslot he'll get to talk about 1960s baseball.

Re: Ron Cameron
WJR will take money wherever it can find it. Their weekend ratings during most non-sports programming are garbage. They already air some brokered programming on the weekend, but the shows are more professionally produced than the shows heard on the throwaway stations around town.
Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Yet the guy literally only has 5 callers- who call twice a show (Cowboy)wtfdetroit wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 4:50 pmI totally agree. Re: Ron Cameron
If Matt were to hitch his wagon back to Ron than he's a bigger dummy than I ever imagined. I suppose you could say the same for Ronnie C. I believe Matt is just trying to get get back into the sports arena. Meeting w/ WJR means nothing....he had that dumb infomercial at 5am or whatever on a Sunday, could be something as silly as that.

Re: Ron Cameron
If Ron were to end up on WJR it would hurt his pockets even more. He would say he wasn’t getting help on advertising, this is bizarre!
Re: Ron Cameron
In terms of making money, why would a bartered show on WJR be any different than one on WDTK, or any of the various stations Ron has hung his hat over the years?
