Re: Hypocrites!
I just went out, nothing wrong with the roads.
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!
Re: Hypocrites!
Are you in the supposed ice zone?
Re: Hypocrites!
They see themselves as having the responsibility to take that risk in doing their jobs... some guy who goes to buy a beer and crashes on the way isn’t in the same position...lovinlife101 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 5:33 pmThey tell others to stay off the roads, but do it themselves. Now I’m wondering if the snow they are forecasting farther north will actually happen either...audiophile wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 5:57 pm
Yes, Ice Warning Zone.
Re: Hypocrites!
I didn’t say they went to go find out if the roads were icy... I said they were doing their jobs reporting the news...lovinlife101 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 6:01 pmSaying one thing and doing another is hypocrisy.Rate This wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 5:35 pmThey see themselves as having the responsibility to take that risk in doing their jobs... some guy who goes to buy a beer and crashes on the way isn’t in the same position...lovinlife101 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 5:33 pmThey tell others to stay off the roads, but do it themselves. Holding other people to a different standard than yourself is hypocrisy.
People don’t have to drive around in news vehicles to know roads are icy and slippery.
If you think news people are any safer drivers than the average person, you’re ignorant.
I suppose FEMA and police and fire officials telling you stay off the roads are hypocrites too if they come to save you?

This scarestorm turned out to be a dud. No ice.

Re: Hypocrites!
Next weekend. Bigger storm. Initial forecasts look like IT could be a monster - particularly for the southern half of the state.

Re: Hypocrites!
The GFS actually had it pretty close to right 3-4 days out. All other models were calling for Armageddon but the GFS had this storm moving quickly and not dumping a bunch. Then about 24 hours out, the GFS came to be more in line with everything else. When all was said and done, the only model that got it close to correct was the older GFS runs.
