At this point, I would like to see if Driskel can improve. Stick with him the rest of the season and see what he has. If he’s a bum like last year in Cincinnati, you draft a QB.

As much as I would like to see Stafford benched then shipped out of town, I know it’s highly unlikely. He’ll get his job back as soon as he is healthy and continue to lose just like he has for over a decade.

How would you feel if the Lions made a pitch for Kappernick? Apparently they're sending folks down to take a look at him:

No, no, and no. He only had one good year. He has no arm. He hasn’t played in a few years.

Detroit's defense just gave up 444 passing yards. Stafford out.

Is this somehow Stafford's fault?

Before the season started Vegas had the over/under on wins at 7. I think the under is looking good right now.

Stafford is reportedly out of commission for up to five more weeks - so I doubt we'll need to worry about him returning to the line up anytime soon.

I hope the Lions lose every single game the remainder of this season. Anything to move the Lions up draft wise is a WIN at this point.

I have to admit Driskel's mobility is a refreshing change and he definitely has the arm. He also doesn't panic when the pocket collapses, an inevitability with this O-line. His ability to extend plays kept us in this game. However, that fourth quarter two-point conversion attempt was a big nothing burger.

The most frustrating thing to watch is how Lions opponents always manage to get a good pass rush while our front four is perpetually stymied. Blitzes are apparently anathema in the Patricia/Pasqualoni scheme.

If the Detroit Lions win a playoff game in 2020 or in 2021 or win a Divisional Playoff, they will stay. If they do NOT win a playoff game in 2020 or in 2021, sell the team to the St. Louis Lions or the San Diego Lions!!! Done deal!!

Not sure an empty Ford Field would be a good thing for the city. The problem with football stadiums is they are not as good at multifunction as basketball arenas. Concerts play better in the smaller size. You can only have so many monster truck shows and tractor pulls.

I’ve always said the Lions should move to a tiny town in Wyoming, so they can suck without people noticing.

So have you moved on from blaming Stafford for their woes?

I don't think the Fords like losing but I don't think they know how to fix it. By the same token I'd be shocked if the aren't making decent money on the team. So as a business its turning a profit. Sure not as big a profit as if they were winners perhaps but they aren't losing money.

NFL franchises cannot lose money. Each makes almost a quarter of a billion dollars on the TV rights alone every year. That's before they sell the PSL's and tickets, one beer, a jersey...... Even idiots like Dan Snyder and Dean Spanos rake in H*** bucks.

I am not convinced they would have won these games with Stafford. It’s time to move on from him.

If you recall, I clearly posted I was not high on Driskel. He didn’t impress when I saw him in Cincinnati last year. Out of the two, I’d rather play Driskel because he’s younger and might still develop (though I don’t think he will). Stafford has proven for a dozen years he can’t win.

I really believe the Fords do not care, as long as the team brings in enough money.

Matthew Stafford is not a smart quarterback. He does not have the savy of a Montana, Staubach, Bradshaw, Payton Manning or Brady. Stafford never looks confident in the pocket. After the snap he looks around like he just forgot the play and he has no running game. His style is worlds apart from Russell Wilson or Patrick Mahomes.
Stafford only has the looks of an ideal quarterback and he's eye-candy to women. Otherwise he's like a lot of other things in the Ford family business... a part that fits but, doesn't that work well.

Matt Patricia should be the next coach in any sport to be fired.
His experience is immature and he has no management skills. This team has actually gotten worse since Caldwell. How is that possible?
The defence is a shambles.

His pal Bob Quinn should be gone too. He's got limited experience having worked for only one organization.
