Re: Any news today?
It was hilarious to see at the strike (pun intended) of midnight, all the lazy, overweight, UAW members, with a spring in their step to make it to the picket line.
“Whoo-hoo! Strike pay!”
“Whoo-hoo! Strike pay!”

Yep.
They are the most lazy, entitled, hypocritical, complaining bunch of folks on planet earth.
“We hate GM! They are greedy and treat us like crap! Oh, by the way, BUY GM! AND JOIN THE UNION! WE GET TREATED GREAT!!!”

UAW slob: “My grand pappy was an original sit-downer. Then my daddy sat for 30 years on GM’s dime. Now, it’s my turn!”
“Oh, but I’m skilled! I can play pinochle, cribbage, euchre, and hearts! All while a car is supposed to be put together!”

It’s already happening. So many people driving Honda and Toyota brand vehicles. Some of them are more “American made” than GM!

I’m surprised they had the nerve to call out the card room.audiophile wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 4:44 pmTrue story: A close relative of mine worked at the GM foundry in Pontiac. Many on the line used to drink alcohol, smoke, and shoot up. If cars were selling nobody cared!

They’re skilled all right. Skilled at getting in a dishonest day’s work for a dishonest day’s pay.km1125 wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 6:31 pmPlenty of stories like that to go around, if you've ever spent time in a plant. I'm sure any big manufacturing plant has similar issues, but you might see a pattern of extremes in the auto plants.audiophile wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 4:44 pmTrue story: A close relative of mine worked at the GM foundry in Pontiac. Was working down at the Doraville, GA plant one time. Was looking around for one of the plant floor electricians and kept hearing "he's probably in the condo". Took a while to find out what that was, but eventually found out. Up in the steel above the assembly area a bunch of the guys got together and built a room out of various materials. had a couple blow-up mattresses, a fridge and little hotplate. Guys, especially those that had a 2nd job outside the plant, would go up there and get a few hours of sleep during the shift.

What does a striking union member and a non-striking union member have in common?
Neither one of them is working!

Oh, it’s not enough for UAW cry babies to stop working themselves. Now, they’re trying to keep other people from working too! That will win friends!
It seems they are trying to destroy the union themselves.

So, this woman goes across the street and puts a verbal SMACKDOWN on lazy union goons.

She put all of these soon-to-be jobless jerks in their place.
You think a $140 billion company is afraid?

A bunch of people are being laid off because of the UAW strike. Guess when they say, “We’re doing this for everyone,” they must not have meant them!
